The 3MT Competition is a worldwide event that celebrates cutting-edge research conducted by graduate students. The competition allows for students to explain their research effectively in a 3-minute time span, in a language that is easy to understand by a non-specialist audience. The IPN 3MT Competition is a great way to showcase your exciting research to your peers, and also provides you with the opportunity to enhance your presentation skills, gain critical feedback, and potentially win one of our cash prizes!
For those interested in competing, please submit the following two files to https://dropitto.me/ipn-3mt(password: ‘penfield’):
- A 250-word (MAX) abstract about your research project. Please also include your full name, year of study (e.g. 3rd year PhD), the institute you are working in (e.g. MNI, Douglas, MGH), and a title for your abstract. You can send it in either a Word or PDF document.
- A 30-second (MAX) video of yourself giving a short presentation on your research project. Please limit the file size to 50 Mb.
Please name both files as follows: “LastName_FirstName”. This will make it is easier for us to organize them. The submission deadline is Monday October 31st @ 11:59 PM.
Once all submissions have been reviewed, the results for those moving to the final round will be announced approximately one week later. Finalists will also be invited to a training workshop to give and receive feedback on their presentation.
The final 3MT event will be open to everyone and will occur on Wednesday November 30th. More details to come!
